During the meeting, Councillor Rachel Nkiessu-Guifo, Cabinet Member for Inclusive Economy, Skills, High Streets and Markets (Dalston), provided an oral update on the council's vision for licensing.

The minutes of the previous Licensing Committee meeting, held on 3 June 2026, were agreed as a true and accurate record of proceedings. Key decisions from that meeting included the appointment of Councillor Kwame Otiende as Chair and Councillor Nicholas Blincoe as Vice Chair of the Licensing Committee for the Municipal Year 2026/27. The committee also noted the Terms of Reference for the Licensing Committee and its Sub-Committees for the same period and agreed to establish five Sub-Committees (A-E).

It was noted that the Licensing Committee comprised entirely new members, none of whom had been present at the previous meeting. Consequently, the minutes from the meeting on 25 March 2026 were noted, rather than agreed.

There were no additional items of business brought before the committee for consideration at the 30 September meeting.

The committee's decisions and noted reports are available in the meeting's decision document: Decisions Wednesday 30-Sep-2026 19.00 Licensing Committee.
