A new Mexican restaurant, Tacos MX Kingston, is seeking a premises licence to sell alcohol at 4 Town End Parade, High Street. The application, submitted by TwoMexicans Ltd, was scheduled to be discussed at a meeting of the Kingston upon Thames Licensing Sub-Committee on 15 July 2025. Manuel Rocha of Rochaconsultancy, who made the application on behalf of TwoMexicans Ltd on 21 May 2025, represented the applicant.

The restaurant hopes to sell alcohol for consumption on and off the premises from 10:00 to 23:00, Monday to Sunday.

According to the Public reports pack, the Metropolitan Police initially raised concerns regarding the prevention of crime and disorder. These concerns were addressed through amendments to the operating schedule, which are detailed in Annex 3 - Conditions arising from applicants Operating Schedule of the report. These amendments led to the withdrawal of the police representation. One representation was received from an Other Person , raising concerns related to the prevention of crime and disorder and the prevention of public nuisance. The Licensing Sub-Committee was reminded of its duty to consider the application in accordance with the Licensing Act 2003, the Secretary of State's Guidance, and the council's Statement of Licensing Policy.
