Hillingdon Council is set to review its social care catering services, according to the Cabinet Forward Plan discussed at the Health and Social Care Select Committee meeting on Tuesday, 22 July 2025.

The committee, chaired by Councillor Nick Denys, reviewed the Cabinet Forward Plan, which outlines key decisions to be made by the Cabinet and individual Cabinet Members in the coming year. The plan included an item regarding social care catering services within Extra Care Services, scheduled for consideration in September 2025.

The Health and Social Care Select Committee plays a vital role in monitoring the Forward Plan and providing comments to decision-makers on items within its remit. The committee has several options for engaging with the Forward Plan, including providing specific comments for inclusion in future reports, requesting further information, or requesting draft reports for review prior to formal consideration.

The Cabinet Forward Plan is published monthly and provides public notice of future key decisions to be taken by the Cabinet.
