Barnet Council's Cabinet convened on 14 August 2025, at Hendon Town Hall, to discuss the Geron Way Replacement Waste Transfer Station project. The meeting included both public and exempt sessions to address the matter.
The meeting began with a motion, initiated by Councillor Barry Rawlings, Leader of the Council and Cabinet Member for Strategic Partnerships, Economy, and Effective Council, to exclude the press and public to discuss confidential aspects of the project. The motion was seconded and passed.
During the exempt session, the Cabinet authorised an increase to the overall budget for the Geron Way Replacement Waste Transfer Station. The specific amount of the increased budget was discussed in the exempt report. They also delegated authority to the executive director of growth, in consultation, to manage specific changes related to the project.
