Hammersmith and Fulham's Health & Wellbeing Board convened on Wednesday, 10 September 2025, to review Central London Community Healthcare's (CLCH) organisational strategy, focusing on its alignment with national and local health agendas.
At the heart of CLCH's strategy is a commitment to creating a flourishing Neighbourhood Health Service that will provide seamless community care and is accountable for the local population and the individual needs within it. The strategy outlines key actions such as co-developing integrated models with partners and communities to improve population health, creating an integrated workforce through leadership in the education and development of staff, and enabling success through future-proofing infrastructure.
Navneet Willoughby, the Director of Ops for the Inner Boroughs at Central London Community Health, presented the strategy, highlighting its commitment to system working, collaboration, and partnership. She emphasised the importance of a core service offer that ensures equitable care for all residents across North West London. The strategy also focuses on workforce development, aiming to make CLCH an employer of choice.
Caroline Farrah, managing director of the Hammersmith and Fulham Health and Care Partnership, also spoke at the meeting, and said that the plan is intended to be a whole population approach.
Jackie McShannon, Executive Director of People, reflected positively on the constructive relationship between the council and CLCH, noting their solution-focused approach to addressing difficult issues. McShannon highlighted that this relationship has been instrumental in effectively addressing complex challenges, with both entities demonstrating a mutual commitment to finding solutions. She said:
I think we can see the benefits of that very constructive relationship and that leaning into, uh, and, and solution focused.
Councillor Alex Sanderson, who chaired the meeting in Councillor Kwon's absence, thanked Willoughby for the presentation.
