Barking and Dagenham Council's Personnel Board is set to convene in a closed session to review an appeal against dismissal, excluding both the public and the press. The meeting is scheduled for Thursday 25 September 2025.

The decision to exclude the public is based on the Local Government Act 1972, Schedule 12A, specifically paragraph 1 of Part 1. This provision allows for the exclusion of the public when discussing confidential information pertaining to individual staff members. The agenda frontsheet indicates the board will consider a resolution to formally exclude the public and press due to the confidential nature of the items listed under Private Business .

Cllr Regina Rahman, who also serves as the Labour Group Secretary, will chair the meeting. Also expected to attend are Cllr Muazzam Sandhu, Deputy Chair of the Personnel Board, and Cllr Victoria Hornby, Deputy Leader of the Minority Group.

The public reports pack contains documentation related to the appeal on pages 5-68.
