  1. A Section 106 agreement, named after Section 106 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, is a legally binding agreement between a local planning authority and a developer. It is used to mitigate the impact of a development on the community and infrastructure. These agreements can cover a wide range of issues, such as affordable housing contributions, transport improvements, and environmental protection measures. ↩
