Fountain Top Tiney Home Nursery's bid for £2,000 in funding from Tower Hamlets Council to expand its after school club has been rejected. The nursery's application was considered at the Grants Determination (Cabinet) Sub-Committee on Wednesday, 1 October 2025, but the funding was not agreed because the Financial forecast showing not financially viable

The funding would have allowed the nursery to offer six additional after school club places and provide a pick-up service from Christ Church C of E and Osmani School, according to a summary of applications included in the public reports pack.
Fountain Top Tiney Home Nursery's £2,000 request was significantly smaller than other requests considered at the same meeting. These included applications from:
- Blue Gate Fields: £120,000 for 20 places
- Junior Adventure Group – Cubitt Town: £33,960.00 for 40 places
- Elizabeth Selby: £10,000 for 60 places
- Olga Primary: £57,000 to increase their Breakfast Club by 6 places and the after school club by 11 places
Other nurseries and after-school clubs that requested funding at the same meeting as Fountain Top Tiney Home Nursery included Blue Gate Fields, aiming to extend their after school club hours, Junior Adventure Group – Cubitt Town, aiming to open a new After School Club at Cubitt Town, Elizabeth Selby, aiming to increase their opening time, and Olga Primary, aiming to increase their Breakfast Club and after school club, providing a service for Olga Primary and Old Ford.
