Tower Hamlets Council is considering a request from the Buckinghamshire Pension Fund (BPF) to join its London Collective Investment Vehicle (CIV), a move aimed at pooling resources and improving investment efficiency. The Pensions Committee discussed the request at its meeting on 2 October 2025, according to the meeting agenda.
The London CIV was established in 2014 as a collaborative effort by London Local Authorities to pool their Pension Fund investments, achieve cost efficiencies, and enhance performance. As of March 31, 2025, the Tower Hamlets Pension Fund had total assets of £2,192 million, with a significant portion managed through the LCIV.
The outcome of the discussion regarding the Buckinghamshire Pension Fund's request will be reported following the meeting.
