Hillingdon Council has extended several key contracts, worth a total of £13,033,945.04, to ensure continuous care and wellbeing services for vulnerable adults in the borough. The decision, made at a Cabinet meeting on Thursday, 23 October 2025, aims to provide stability and support for residents with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs.

The extensions involve agreements with Ability Housing Association (£2,462,743.55), CCS Homecare Services (£7,902,204.94), and Support for Living (£2,668,996.55), all of which provide vital care and wellbeing services to the community. The council ensures the quality of care provided by extending contracts with organisations that have been judged as providing good care and support. The providers have also consistently met contractual KPIs and maintained high occupancy levels. Feedback from the Council's Quality Assurance Team is positive, indicating good standards of care.

The move comes as the council prepares for new legislative changes designed to improve standards, accountability, and value in supported housing. The contract extensions will allow the Council to meet these changes coming in.

The decision was detailed in the Cabinet Agenda C 23rd-Oct-2025 19.00 CABINET, which outlined the need for continuous high-quality care for vulnerable adults in Hillingdon.

These extensions will run until 2027, allowing the Council to continue meeting its statutory responsibilities under the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Health Act 1983.

This decision was part of a broader set of resolutions made during the Cabinet meeting, as detailed in the Printed minutes 23rd-Oct-2025 19.00 CABINET.
