Croydon Council is a step closer to filling a key leadership role. On Tuesday, 28 October 2025, the Appointments & Disciplinary Committee (ADC) progressed interviews for the Director of Property, Procurement and Capital.
The agenda for the meeting, held at Bernard Weatherill House, indicated that the committee would move into a closed session to conduct full panel interviews of shortlisted candidates. The salary range for the Director position is detailed in the public agenda pack from 1 October 2025.
Mayor Jason Perry (Executive Mayor) chaired the meeting, with other attendees including Councillor Lynne Hale (Statutory Deputy Mayor and Cabinet Member for Homes), Councillor Jason Cummings (Cabinet Member for Finance), and Councillor Stuart King (Leader of the Opposition).
The agenda also included items such as apologies for absence and disclosure of interests. Councillors were reminded to declare any disclosable pecuniary interests, other registrable interests, or non-registrable interests.
The minutes of the previous meeting were scheduled to be presented at a later date. According to the agenda, this was due to the close proximity of a series of ADC meetings during October.
In accordance with Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public were excluded from the interview portion of the meeting due to the confidential nature of the discussions, specifically relating to individuals and financial or business affairs.
