Barnet Council has awarded a contract for Integrated Community Equipment Services to Provide Care Solutions Limited (Provide) after the previous provider, NRS Healthcare Limited, entered compulsory liquidation.

The decision, made under emergency powers on 17 September 2025, ensures the continuation of essential services for adults and children in the borough. The contract with Provide will run for an initial 24 months, with an option for a 12-month extension.

Councillor Alison Moore, Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care and Health, emphasized the importance of the service, stating it was critical for some of Barnet's most vulnerable residents. The council noted that the decision was made to safeguard individuals being discharged from hospital and to ensure the safety of those requiring equipment in their own homes.

The council noted that the decision to award the contract to Provide was influenced by their participation in the North London Equipment Partnership, a consortium of seven councils working together to secure community equipment services.

The council acknowledged the disruption caused by the previous provider's liquidation and expressed a commitment to working with Provide to stabilise the service and develop a longer-term commissioning plan. While the meeting information confirms that NRS Healthcare Limited entered compulsory liquidation, the specific reasons behind this action were not provided.
