Hammersmith and Fulham Council is doubling down on its commitment to tackling Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) by embedding co-production into its core strategies. This approach places residents and partners at the heart of designing and delivering impactful projects.

The Social Inclusion and Community Safety Policy and Accountability Committee met on Tuesday 18 November 2025 to discuss the council's approach. According to the agenda, a briefing note was presented outlining how co-production is being used to tackle VAWG.

The briefing note highlighted the central role of co-production in the commissioning and oversight of VAWG services, with a particular focus on the current procurement process for recommissioning key services. The VAWG team has been working collaboratively with residents and partners to design and deliver impactful projects.

Attendees at the meeting included Councillor Stala Antoniades (Chair of Social Inclusion and Community Safety PAC and Lead Member for Land Development), Councillor Omid Miri, Councillor Lucy Richardson (Lead Member for Community Mental Health), Councillor Sally Taylor (Lead Member for Communications), and Councillor Victoria Brocklebank-Fowler.
