Tower Hamlets Council is set to appoint a new Corporate Director of Resources following interviews held by the Appointments Sub-Committee on Monday, 17 November 2025. The council aims to fill this key position to ensure effective management of its resources.

According to the Agenda frontsheet, the substantive business was held in exclusion of the press and public because it contained information considered exempt under the Local Government Act 1972. Specifically, the agenda included information defined as Exempt in Part I of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.

Attendees at the meeting included Councillor Marc Francis, Councillor Kabir Hussain, Councillor Asma Islam, and Jack Painter, along with the Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Inclusive Development and Housebuilding, and the Cabinet Member for Resources and the Cost of Living.
