Waltham Forest Council is set to review its fees and charges for the 2026/27 financial year, with discussions scheduled at the Budget Scrutiny Committee meeting on 25 November 2025. The meeting will discuss proposed changes to fees and charges for council services.
The review, detailed in the fees and charges 2026-27 Budget Scrutiny Nov 25 document, will examine proposed changes to various council services. A detailed list of these proposed fees and charges is available in the appendix 1 fees and charges 2026-27 document.
The Budget Scrutiny Committee, chaired by Councillor Miriam Mirwitch and vice-chaired by Councillor Zafran Malik, includes Councillors Afzal Akram, Shumon Ali-Rahman, Kastriot Berberi, Tim James, and Marie Pye.
Members of the public are welcome to participate in scrutiny meetings. Those wishing to speak for three minutes on a topic related to the Committee's work should contact Democratic Services by 12 noon on the day before the meeting. Fifteen minutes in total is allowed for public speaking, at the discretion of the Chair.
As part of the review process, an EqIA screener template 2026-27 will be used to assess the potential impact of the proposed changes on different groups of people. EqIA stands for Equality Impact Assessment.
