Bromley Council is set to consult with residents on the future of pharmaceutical services in the borough, alongside discussions on mental health, learning disabilities, sexual health, and suicide prevention. The consultation follows a Health and Wellbeing Board meeting on Thursday, 26 June 2025.

The consultation will gather feedback on a draft Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA) for 2025-2028. The PNA, which is required by the National Health Service (Pharmaceutical and Local Pharmaceutical Services) Regulations 2013, will assess the needs for pharmaceutical services in Bromley and guide future commissioning decisions. The draft PNA will be available on the Bromley Consultations web page, and feedback will be used to inform the final version, which is due to be presented to the Health and Wellbeing Board in September before publication on 1 October 2025.

In addition to the PNA consultation, the Health and Wellbeing Board also discussed several key strategic plans, including the Bromley Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2025-2030, the Learning Disabilities Strategy 2025-2030, the Lambeth, Southwark, Lewisham, Bexley and Bromley (LSLBB) Sexual and Reproductive Health and HIV Strategy 2025-2030, and the Bromley Suicide Prevention Plan 2025-2030. These plans aim to improve the health and wellbeing of Bromley residents by addressing key challenges and promoting early intervention and prevention.

Also under consideration was the implementation of neighbourhood working in Bromley, with the aim of delivering more integrated services across health, social, voluntary, and community organisations. This approach seeks to provide holistic, person-centred care, with a focus on prevention and care closer to home, making it easier for residents to access and navigate support.
