Hackney Council Sets 2026/27 Council Taxbase and Approves Business Rates Delegation

Hackney Council has set its Council Taxbase for the 2026/27 financial year at 80,163.35 Band D equivalent properties, with an anticipated collection rate of 94.5%. This decision was made during a Council meeting held on Wednesday, January 28, 2026.

In addition to setting the taxbase, the Council also granted delegated authority to the Group Director of Corporate Resources to determine the Business Rates Base for 2026/27. The Council Tax Reduction Scheme for the upcoming fiscal year will remain unchanged from previous approvals.
