Enfield Council has approved a £438.969 million budget for the upcoming financial year, which includes a council tax increase of 4.79% for Band D properties.

The decision was made during a Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, where councillors debated the proposed General Fund revenue budget for 2026/27 and the five-year Medium-Term Financial Plan (MTFP) from 2026/27 to 2030/31. The full budget report can be found here.

The approved budget incorporates a 2.99% general council tax increase and a 2.00% Adult Social Care Precept. This amounts to an increase of £1.60 per week for a Band D property. The Greater London Authority (GLA) precept will add a further £510.51 at Band D, bringing the total council tax for a Band D property to £2,267.67, an increase of £1.99 per week on the 2025/26 level.
