Hackney Council's Corporate Committee has approved a new Planning Code of Conduct for the Hackney Constitution, aimed at guiding the behaviour of those involved in the local planning process.
The decision was made during a meeting held on Wednesday, March 18, 2026. The committee resolved to approve the new code of conduct for councillors and delegated authority to the Monitoring Officer, in consultation with the Assistant Director of Planning and Building Control, to make any necessary amendments, including those required to comply with statutory requirements for councillor training on planning matters.
