The decision was made during a full Council meeting held on Thursday, May 21, 2026. The Pay Policy Statement outlines the council's approach to key aspects of staff pay, including the lowest and highest paid roles, and the pay ratio between them.
Key elements of the policy include the commitment to apply increment progression as outlined for April 2026. The statement also details the council's stance on the use of agency staff and the management of budgets related to furniture and equipment, office expenses, fees and services, and senior responsible officers (SRAs).
