Bromley Council issues eight parking fines for zigzag violations outside Biggin Hill schools

Bromley Council has issued eight Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) for parking on school zigzags outside Plaistow Lane and Freelands Road between April 2024 and May 2026.

During a meeting of the council's Executive on July 22, 2026, it was revealed that issuing PCNs for vehicles stopping on school zigzags is challenging because the vehicles usually only stop for a short period of time. In addition to the eight PCNs for zigzag violations, 19 other PCNs were issued during school operating hours for different contraventions at the same location within the specified period.
