Havering Council has been questioned on its strategy for securing adequate government funding to provide temporary accommodation and end rough sleeping.
Councillor Michael Fisher raised the issue during a Council meeting on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, asking Cabinet Member for Housing Allocation, Councillor Martin Lardner, how the council would ensure fair and adequate government funding for additional temporary accommodation.
The question comes in the context of the new Prime Minister's pledge to end rough sleeping.
