Enfield Council has outlined its ongoing commitment to improving Jubilee Park, with updates on planned enhancements discussed at a recent Council meeting.
During the Council meeting on Wednesday, 16 September 2026, Councillor Edward Smith, Cabinet Member for Council Assets & Culture, provided an update on improvements to Jubilee Park. While specific details regarding the exact commencement and completion dates for all works were not fully elaborated, it was indicated that funding has been secured for various enhancements.
These improvements are expected to include the replacement of aging play equipment with a like-for-like product, which will involve the remediation of the equipment's safety surfacing. New equipment is anticipated to be installed by early 2027. Additionally, footpath and fencing upgrades are programmed to commence in November and December 2026. Funding for these aspects has been secured through CIL funding, with a budget of £95,689 allocated.
Further enhancements to Jubilee Park are also being supported by a portion of the £28,000 from the Pride in Place Impact fund. Officers are currently seeking suppliers and quotes for court marking works, with these improvements anticipated to be programmed for November or December 2026.
