Lewisham Council's Public Accounts Select Committee has deferred a report on the proposed Green Bond
initiative, citing that the item is not yet ready
for discussion. The decision was made during a meeting on Thursday, September 17, 2026, where the committee reviewed its work programme.
Councillor James Rathbone had inquired about the readiness of the Income Generation
and Green Bond
items for the November meeting. It was suggested that the Income Generation
report would outline statutory income generation methods. The Green Bond
item, however, was deemed not yet ready for discussion, leading to its deferral.
The committee agreed to the proposed changes to the work plan, including the inclusion of Income Generation
and the deferral of Green Bond
to a later meeting. The committee then agreed the work programme for 2026/27, subject to these recommended changes.
The next meeting of the committee was scheduled for November 12, 2026.
