Assets of Community Value

A designation under the Localism Act 2011 that grants local communities a period to bid on community assets if they are put up for sale. A facility or resource that serves the needs and benefits of a local community, such as a property or land that has been listed by a local authority because it is important to the community and is protected from sale by private developers, as per the Localism Act 2011.
