Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act 2022

An Act of the Parliament of the United Kingdom concerning policing, criminal justice, and immigration. A piece of UK legislation that introduced wide-ranging reforms to the justice system, including measures related to public order, police powers, and sentencing. It includes a statutory Serious Violence Duty and, among other things, increased the maximum penalty for assaulting frontline workers, and includes provisions for increased penalties for assaulting frontline workers.
