Metropolitan Open Land (MOL)

A designation for land in London that is protected from development, but where certain uses are permitted. This land designation gives the same status and protection as Greenbelt, relevant to the location of the Footscray Road sports facility development. Designated land within London intended to remain open and undeveloped, often for recreational purposes. Designated land within London that is protected for its open space value, while allowing for appropriate recreational facilities.
