Square 1 Café North Kingston (Hawker Centre)
The Square 1 Café North Kingston project, which provided free meals and a warm space, was funded by Kingston Council for 12 months.
The Square 1 Café North Kingston (Hawker Centre) project, operated by New Era Community Projects CIC, received a £2,425 grant from Kingston Council's Kingston and North Kingston Neighbourhood Committee in September 2025. This funding supported the weekly free community café, which offered meals, a warm space for socialising, and surplus food distribution.
The grant enabled the café to operate weekly for 12 months, as decided by the Kingston and North Kingston Neighbourhood Committee. The project aimed to support vulnerable residents and foster community connections in North Kingston during its operational period.
