Ealing Council is set to launch a campaign in 2025-26 to tackle work-related stress (WRS), focusing on prevention and management of WRS risks in the workplace.
The Health and Safety Service Plan 2025-2026 outlines the council's strategy, which includes working with businesses to promote the 'Working Minds' campaign. The plan was reviewed by the General Purposes Committee on Wednesday 09 July 2025, with presentations from Councillor Kamaljit Kaur Nagpal, Decent Living Incomes, and Joe Blanchard, Head of Environmental Health and Trading Standards.
The Workplace and Public Safety Team will spearhead the effort, aiming to raise awareness of WRS and mental health. As part of the campaign, there will be targeted promotion at supermarkets and betting shops, coinciding with International Stress Awareness Week in November 2025. The selection of these locations reflects a focused approach to reach specific sectors or demographics within Ealing’s workforce identified as potentially high-stress environments.
