City of London Education Board reports £106k budget underspend

The City of London Education Board has reported an underspend of £106,000 in its budget for the 2026-27 financial year.

The underspend, primarily attributed to staffing savings from one vacant post, will affect the Local Risk budget, while the Central Risk budget is expected to remain on track. The overall forecast expenditure for the Education Board stands at £3.027 million against a budget of £3.133 million.

The Education Board met on Friday, 02 October 2026, to review its financial position. The report presented to the board detailed that grants allocated to date included £16,000 for academies and disadvantaged pupils, £8,000 for partnerships, and £8,000 for strategic activities.
