Two local groups, Positive Movement and Tale be Told Theatre, were in the spotlight at the Bedfont and Feltham Area Forum meeting on Thursday, 10 July 2025. The forum serves as a platform to discuss community safety, review local action plans, and engage with local community groups. According to the meeting agenda, points raised during the forum are noted and used to inform its future work.
The groups were featured in the Community Spotlight segment of the meeting, which took place at Feltham Assembly Halls.
The formal meeting covered a range of topics, including: Welcome and Introductions, Apologies for Absence, Declarations of Interest, Announcements, Minutes of the Previous Meeting and Matters Arising, Open Forum, a petition regarding CCTV in Bedfont North, Action Plan Updates, Any Other Business, and the Date of the Next Meeting.
The meeting, chaired by Councillor Alan Mitchell, also included Councillors Muhammad Shakeel Akram, Madeeha Asim, Lily Bath, Adesh Farmahan, Hina Mir, Samina Nagra, Raghwinder Siddhu and Kuldeep Tak.
Prior to the formal meeting, an informal market place was held, allowing residents to visit stalls from council services and community groups. Food and drink were served at the market place, according to the meeting agenda.
The Public Reports Pack included a reminder to committee members to declare any pecuniary interests, as required by the Members' Code of Conduct. The Guidance Note from the Monitoring Officer outlines the different types of interests that must be declared.
