Bexley Council has taken decisive action against single-use vapes, implementing a ban and increasing enforcement efforts to ensure compliance across the borough.

The move comes as part of a broader update on licensing enforcement, discussed at the Licensing Committee meeting on 15 July 2025. According to the Public Reports Pack, the ban on single-use vapes went into effect on 1 June 2025, and the council is now undertaking visits and enforcement action to ensure premises are adhering to the new regulations.

As part of these enforcement efforts, the council will be conducting visits to businesses to ensure they are complying with the ban. Further enforcement action will be taken where necessary.
