Hounslow Council is set to bolster community projects through its Thriving Communities Fund, designed to strengthen local bonds and improve residents' quality of life.
The fund was a key topic at the Brentford and Syon Area Forum meeting on Monday, 14 July 2025, where Halima Hussain was scheduled to present on the initiative. According to the agenda, the presentation aimed to outline how the fund will support local initiatives.
Residents had the opportunity to voice their concerns and ask questions during an open forum. The agenda stipulated that individual cases could not be discussed, and residents were encouraged to submit questions in writing to William Lee, Committee Administrator, ahead of the meeting.
Ward updates were provided by Councillors Dan Bowring, Theo Dennison, Katherine Dunne, Guy Lambert, Max Mosley, Marina Sharma, and Emma Yates, covering local issues and initiatives within their respective wards.
The meeting also promoted the council's Let's Talk platform, encouraging residents to use a QR code to access updates and provide feedback on the Area Forum.
