Brent Council has reaffirmed its commitment to identifying suitable sites for traveller pitches, aiming to address ongoing issues at the Linton Close site.
The Resources and Public Realm Scrutiny Committee discussed the matter during a meeting on Tuesday, 02 September 2025, as part of a broader review of the Brent local plan.
Councillor Rita Conneely, Chair of the Resources & Public Realm Scrutiny Committee, inquired about the council's dedication to delivering traveller pitches. Paul, whose last name was not provided, responded that the council is actively seeking to progress and find sites to address the current issues with the Linton Close site.
The local plan review, which is currently in its early stages, aims to balance growth with the needs of the community, including housing and infrastructure. The plan will have to be in line with the London Plan.
The council aims to secure funding for the review to take place.
