Plans for a new three-storey dwelling on land adjacent to 24 Normandy Road have been approved by the Lambeth Council Planning Applications Committee.
The development, located at the junction of Normandy and Cowley Roads, aims to provide a two-bedroom home, increasing the borough's housing supply and optimising the use of a small site. According to the Public reports pack Tuesday 09-Sep-2025, the project site is within the Brixton Road Conservation Area and falls under the protected vista from Parliament Hill Oak Tree to the Palace of Westminster.
The design aligns with the historic building lines of the terrace and integrates with the adjacent property, respecting the area's character. The dwelling meets minimum space standards and would be sustainably designed to achieve biodiversity targets, according to the report pack.
