Greenwich Council is set to implement improvements to Woolwich Market, according to reports presented at the Inclusive Economy and Culture Scrutiny Panel meeting on 11 September 2025.
The council plans to focus on market infrastructure improvements and enhance the curation and activation of events and performance spaces in Woolwich. This initiative will involve collaboration with Events and key stakeholders to revitalise the area.
The plans were revealed during a discussion about commissioning future reports, as outlined in the Public reports pack for the meeting. The Review Markets and Implement Market Improvement Plan report is scheduled for the 6 November 2025 meeting.
