Merton Council is set to review its walking and cycling strategy, as discussed at the Sustainable Communities Overview and Scrutiny Panel meeting on 16 September 2025. The panel will also consider issues of anti-social behaviour and analyse the effectiveness of safer street wardens, working with police colleagues.
The strategy is part of a broader discussion that includes budget and business planning, anti-social behaviour, and tree strategies, according to the Sustainable Communities Work Programme 2025-2026. The agenda for the September 16, 2025 meeting includes Anti-social behaviour
as an item for discussion.
The panel, which includes Dan Johnston (Chair) and Daniel Holden (Vice-Chair), will review the final draft document following earlier scrutiny sessions and make any recommendations to cabinet.
