Enfield Council is currently considering the future of Woodcroft Wildspace, following a debate at a recent council meeting.
The council convened on Wednesday 17 September 2025, and considered a motion regarding Woodcroft Wildspace. The motion recognised the benefit provided by the space, including its provision for the Little Sparks play and bereavement charity. It also acknowledged the significant time and effort invested in the space by volunteers, providing the borough with a unique wildspace.
The motion directed council officers to work to ensure the continued future of the space in its current form and undertook to honour, where possible, the commitments made to the space by numerous cabinet members and senior councillors.
The council also approved the scrutiny work programmes for the Overview and Scrutiny Committee and its four standing scrutiny panels for 2025/26, and confirmed changes to committee memberships, with Councillor Nelly Gyosheva replacing Councillor Nia Stevens on the Culture and Environment Scrutiny Panel. This panel will be involved in assessing the future of Woodcroft Wildspace.
The date of the next meeting was noted as Wednesday 12 November 2025.
