Harrow Council has paused the borough-wide rollout of 20mph zones to allow for deeper data analysis and monitoring, the Traffic and Road Safety Advisory Panel (TARSAP) heard on Wednesday, 15 October 2025.
The decision comes as the council seeks to test assumptions, learn from early schemes and strengthen the case for future roll-out,
according to a report presented to the panel.
Updates on specific 20mph zone projects were provided during the meeting:
- Manor Way: The scheme is nearing completion, with only minor
snagging work
remaining. Once finished, it is expected to improve safety on Station Road, Parkside Way, Manor Way, Priory Way, and Southfield Avenue. - Radnor Road: This location is currently undergoing a 21-day statutory consultation, set to conclude on 1 October 2025.
- Northumberland Road: A meeting was held on 16 September 2025, between council officers and ward members to discuss the outcome of the consultation. A decision is pending.
- Sandringham Crescent: Detailed design work is underway after the completion of the public consultation.
