Chiswick residents are continuing to struggle with the problem of improperly parked e-bikes, despite ongoing efforts to find a solution. The issue was raised again at the Chiswick Area Forum meeting on Monday, 13 October 2025, where councillors reviewed the progress on several community concerns.
Residents have repeatedly voiced their frustration over e-bikes being left outside designated charging and parking bays, causing obstructions and visual blight. The issue has been a recurring item on the forum's agenda, with Councillor Peter Thompson previously engaging with council officers and representatives from Lime, an e-bike hire company, to find a resolution.
In March, following a meeting between council officers and Lime representatives, Lime pledged to be more proactive in collecting abandoned bikes. While the specific measures Lime intended to implement were not detailed in the meeting information, the latest discussions at the forum suggest that the problem persists, prompting further scrutiny and the need for more effective enforcement.
