The Hanworth Area Forum is set to convene to discuss suggestions for the community action plan, alongside updates on local issues and feedback from the previous meeting. The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, 16 October 2025, at 7:30 pm at the Oriel Academy.
Prior to the meeting, a market place will be held from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm, offering residents the opportunity to visit stalls from council services and community groups.
The agenda for the Hanworth Area Forum includes several key items, including updates to the action plan and a request to the community to suggest items for consideration. At the previous meeting on 21 July 2025, Councillors provided updates on:
- Portlane Brook
- Private school buses causing traffic congestion on Swan Road
- Traffic calming measures for Swan Road and Bear Road
- A request to the community to suggest action plan items for consideration
An open forum will allow residents to raise local concerns. According to the agenda, detailed discussions may not be possible at the meeting, but points raised will be noted and used to inform the work of the Area Forum. At the previous meeting on 21 July 2025, residents raised concerns about:
- The condition of the slip road on the A316 towards Sunbury.
- Issues caused by inappropriately parked Lime Bikes.
- Fly-tipping on Crispin Road.
- A traveller encampment in Ludlow Park.
- Overgrown verges, green spaces and pavements with weeds.
- Irregular street cleaning.
- The proposed redevelopment of the Muller Dairy site and lack of pedestrian crossings.
The meeting will also address feedback from open forum questions raised at the 21 July 2025 meeting, providing updates on the issues raised by residents.
Councillor Bishnu Gurung, Chair of the Hanworth Area Forum, will preside over the meeting, with Councillors Richard Foote, Allan Joseph, Farah Kamran, and Aysha Tariq also in attendance.
