Ealing Council has reappointed Beever and Struthers as the external auditors for Greener Ealing Ltd (GEL) for the financial year 2025/26. The decision was made during the Shareholder Committee meeting on Monday, 20 October 2025, where GEL's financial performance for 2024/25 was also reviewed.

The Shareholder Committee convened to discuss GEL's accounts and the appointment of auditors. The Public reports pack indicated that GEL's profit before taxation for the financial year 2024/25 was £264,772, a decrease from the £320,935 reported in 2024. No dividends were paid during the year.

The committee agreed to the reappointment of Beever and Struthers, whose registered office is in Blackburn, as external auditors. They previously served as auditors for the financial year 2024/25.

GEL's role as a major employer in the borough was highlighted, with its services spanning waste, recycling, street cleansing, grounds maintenance, and parking enforcement. The company's contribution to the council's climate crisis objectives and its role in ensuring a fair borough for residents were also recognised.

The Shareholder Committee, including Councillor Peter Mason (Leader of the Council), Councillor Louise Brett (Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Safe and Genuinely Affordable Homes), Councillor Stephen Donnelly (Cabinet Member for Inclusive Economy), and Councillor Paul Driscoll (Cabinet Member for Climate Action), were asked to consider the company's accounts and auditor's report, as mandated by the Shareholder Agreement approved in June 2025.
