Residents of Latimer Garden in Harrow have petitioned the council to address the deteriorating condition of pavements and roads in their neighbourhood, requesting the complete relaying of paving slabs and resurfacing of the road.
John Cunningham, representing 33 residents of Latimer Garden, presented the petition to the Harrow Council Cabinet on Thursday, 30 October 2025, requesting urgent repairs to the road and footpaths. Mr. Cunningham stated that improvements could transform the area into the jewel in the crown of the Pinnawood Park estate.
He highlighted the curved street, exotic trees, wide grass verges, and the art deco school as features deserving preservation.
Councillor Paul Osborn, Leader of the Council, acknowledged the petition and assured Mr. Cunningham that officers would inspect Latimer Garden and Latimer Close as a matter of urgency to assess the need for repairs and potential inclusion in the council's program. He added that the council will determine when we can put it in our program

The petition calls for the complete relaying of paving slabs alongside houses and the resurfacing of the road, adhering to the conservation principles outlined in the Pinnawood Park Estate planning document Article Four.
