Enfield Council has approved the acquisition of 219 affordable homes at the New Avenue Estate Phase 3, marking a significant step in providing social housing within the borough and addressing the social housing waiting list. These properties will be let for social rent.

The decision, made during the Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, 5 November 2025, will see the council purchase the properties from CPUK (likely Countryside Properties UK) for social rent. The approval also includes entering into a purchase agreement and delegates authority to the Director of Law and Governance to finalise the legal documents.
