The council's constitution is a comprehensive document divided into six parts. According to the Agenda frontsheet 24th-Nov-2025 London Borough of Haringey Constitution, these parts cover a summary and explanation of the constitution, the articles of the constitution, responsibility for functions, procedure rules, codes and protocols, and the members' allowances scheme for 2025-2026.
Part Five of the constitution details codes and protocols, including the Members Code of Conduct, a protocol for complaints against members, a protocol on member and officer relations, a protocol for key decisions, and a protocol on decision making. The review will encompass all these elements, with the aim of maintaining and improving the council's efficiency, transparency, and accountability in its operations.
