Bromley Council is set to review its Council Tax Support scheme for the upcoming financial year, as well as discuss the future of the library service and housing delivery in the borough.
The Bromley Council Executive is scheduled to discuss the Council Tax Support Scheme 2026-27 at its meeting on Wednesday, 26 November 2025. The scheme outlines the proposed support for residents in the borough for the upcoming financial year.
The meeting, to be held at the Bromley Civic Centre, will also cover budget monitoring, the future of the library service, housing delivery, and the procurement strategy for education capital works, according to the agenda.
Regarding the library service, the Executive will discuss a report on its future. The Options Appraisal - Future of the Library Service document outlines several options, including maintaining the status quo, reducing opening hours, and potentially closing some libraries.
An update on housing delivery in Bromley will also be presented. The Housing Delivery Update Report provides information on the number of new homes built in the borough and progress on key housing projects.
Attendees will include Councillor Colin Smith (Leader of the Council), Councillor Kate Lymer (Deputy Leader and Portfolio Holder for Children, Education and Families), and other portfolio holders.
