Haringey Council has awarded a contract worth £1.8 million for asbestos surveying services across its properties, a move designed to ensure resident safety and regulatory compliance.
The contract, valued at £1,815,540.00, has been awarded to Tenderer A
and will cover asbestos surveying, bulk sampling, and air monitoring for up to four years. The decision was made by the Cabinet Member for Housing and Planning (Deputy Leader), Councillor Sarah Williams, at a meeting on January 5, 2026.
This new contract is crucial for the council to maintain compliance with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002.
