Enfield Council has significantly reduced the number of Associate Cabinet Member posts as part of a wider administrative shake-up.
During the Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, the newly elected Leader of the Council, Councillor Alessandro Georgiou, announced the immediate deletion of all political crony Associate Cabinet Member posts.
This move is expected to save the taxpayer £32,940 annually.
In his acceptance speech, Councillor Georgiou pledged good governance, public service and absolute transparency.
