Waltham Forest Council is facing questions regarding issues with visitor permits and potential compensation for residents. Councillors raised concerns during a recent meeting about residents effectively paying for a service they were not receiving during a period of disruption related to parking permits.

Councillor John Moss questioned whether residents would be compensated for the period when controlled parking enforcement was not in place. He noted that while the renewal window for visitor permits had been extended, it remained unclear if the period without enforcement would be charged for.

Councillor Eva Tabbasam, Deputy Leader for Housing and Regeneration, stated that she would follow up on this matter in writing after speaking with council officers.
