A deal for Barnet Council to acquire 208 affordable homes as part of the Dollis Valley Estate Regeneration scheme has collapsed after the Greater London Authority (GLA) withdrew its funding.

The proposed acquisition, originally decided by the Cabinet on July 21, 2026, was deemed no longer viable due to the GLA's funding withdrawal. Councillor Emma Whysall, Vice Chair of the Call-In Sub-Committee, explained that the original decision was no longer viable because the Greater London Authority (GLA) had withdrawn its funding. Consequently, the committee agreed to take no further action on the original decision.
